Miki's Bio.

Mikayla was born January 6th, 1996.  We knew there was something special about her from day one.  She would only sleep to the loud rumbling sounds of stock cars racing around.  First the sounds came from Nascar on TV.  Then  at age 3 came the deep roar of motors from Cedar Lake Speedway.  Her first race.  The Duel of the 410's and 360 wing sprints.  This time though she didn't fall asleep, she was glued to the action.  These guys made her racing spirit awaken.  From then on all she talked about was racing.  She would watch them on TV, go the the races at Cedar Lake Speedway and dream.  At age 7 she got the chance to talk with World Of Outlaw Late Model driver Scott Bloomquist.  Miki asked Scott the best way for her to start racing and he gave her alot of recommendations and told her to start with go-karts.  Then she saw Iceberg Karts in the Star Prairie parade.  We talked to Roger McVitty(owner of Iceberg Karts) and she started racing ice karts in the winter of 2003.  We knew that this was the kind of talent people are only born with.  She's a Natural Racer. 

Mikayla has now been racing karts for 3 years.  This year will be her 3rd season on the ice.  She runs a Stock Animal engine on the ice.  This engine is unrestricted. 

Mikayla will be in her 3rd season on the dirt in 2006.  Miki runs the Jr. 1 Class in this series.

Mikayla will be Moving on up to Junior 2 this year. What an exciting year she had last year. Her final year in Junior 1 and her first Region 3 series. Mikayla took 3rd in points at Flying Pines and 11th in the Region 3 dirt series. We all look forward to her new year in Junior 2.
